The Aries–cat (March 21 to april 20):
'Leave the door open!'

The adventurous Aries - cat is not a quiet pet. This buccaneer desperately needs a cat door, because he or she doesn't like to stay at home. They are lively, unpredictable and keen. When they are hampered in their freedom, they will do everything possible to get their way. An open door is a harmless example, but leaping off a balcony isn't. When Aries-cats are thoroughly obstructed in having their way, then they throw in some heavy artillery, such as destroying the new couch and breaking an antique vase. They may also urinate outside of the litter box, as a sophisticated form of protest.

His or her ideal boss has a sense of humour and can handle the fact that the Aries-cat considers people as servants (to open the door). Despite their proud independence, they are very loyal and - if they are in the right mood - find it delicious to be pampered. Libra-owners overwhelm the egocentric Aries-cat with attention; Aquarius-owners like the consistency by which the Aries-cat approaches life.

The Taurus-cat (april 21 until May 20):
'The highest cuddle factor'

Taurus-cats always purr and are perfectly happy if they can sleep on their favorite bed. Taureans keep on eating and it is therefore not surprising that they often are fairly thick. They are calm and easy cats, who react violently if their anger is generated. Never throw away a worn out toy: Taurus-cats are attached to old stuff. Their house must be clean and comfortable. Taurus-cats really can't do without a cat pole. They like the occasional fight, but hate being scratched. Then they 'll ask for sympathy and extra attention.

When you choose a Taurus-cat, it should be taken into account that this cat needs a lot of attention, they’ll love to get a weekly brush while they sit on your lap. The Taurus-cat feels at home with an owner who is born under the sign of Virgo; Pisces-owners feel relaxed with a Taurus-cat.

The Gemini-cat (May 21 to June 20):
'Moving is fun!'

Gemini-cats never fully mature, they like games, and are always in for new toys, an new environment, foreign people or another brand of cat food. Is the furniture being moved? Gemini-cats love it! Moving is one of the funniest things that can happen in a Gemini's life. This exuberant cat becomes restless when he or she constantly has to sit on your lap. Gemini-cats aren't unreliable, but they're a bit moody. If you want to win their heart, give them as much freedom as possible, a cat door is an ideal solution. Moody as they are: Gemini-cats never know for sure whether they want to be in-or outside.

Gemini-cats are everyone's friends, and - thanks to their lively character - a fascinating but sometimes tiring company. A Sagittarius-owner shares the need for challenge, and an Aquarius-owner doesn't restrain a Gemini-cat.

The Cancer-cat (June 21 to July 20):
'Don't disturb them in their sleep!'

This sensitive little cat absolutely doesn't support clutter. He or she desperately needs affection and admiration. Cancer-cats are kind and loving by nature, but sometimes they can react very irritated, especially when they have the idea that they're not taken seriously and ... when they are disturbed in their sleep! Sleeping is extremely important to all Cancer-cats. A soft bed - preferably yours - with at least a cushion or a pure wool blanket are some things a Cancer-cat feels entitled to. And the food? Yes, it will have to be of excellent quality, because this gourmand takes no pleasure in moderate cat food.

The Cancer-cat is an ideal companion for someone who spends much time at home. They constantly remain by your side and jump on your lap when they get the chance. But be careful: Cancer-cats are quickly irritated. A Cancer-owner really understands the need for security of this cat; a Cancer-cat feels comfortable and secure with a Taurus-owner.

The Leo-cat (21 juli tot 20 augustus):
'They always get things done their way'

Leo-cats should be king or queen of the household. They prefer to be surrounded by countless admirers and really love cat shows. Attention, exaggerated concern, gifts and plenty of luxury are all well spent on a Leo-cat. They look great and keep their fur in top condition. They love to be praised and will do everything to attract attention. A Leo-cat doesn't really like physical efforts and considers his or her human housemates obvious as his/her subordinates ...

This charming 'supreme' cat has made a genuine art out of getting things done their way. An ideal roommate for humble people or those who want to be! A Cancer-owner finds it fun when a Leo-cat shows leadership; Aries-owners enjoy the acrobatics of a Leo-cat.

The Virgo-cat (August 21 to september 20):
'A bit neurotic ...'

This cat's motto is: 'Don't take risks'. Dislike, indignation and anger strike the owner of a Virgo-cat if something in the house changes place. Rest, regularity and cleanliness an essential for a Virgo-cat. This cat is easily offended when the owner fails to meet those requirements. The same happens when there are too many visitors in the house. It disturbs his or her daily rhythm.

A little neurotic, but opposite to that Virgo-cats are intelligent creatures and often inspire other housemates. The analyzing character of the Virgo-cat fits well with a Scorpio-owner, the independent Virgo-cat gives the Gemini-owner more confidence.
