A planet in its own Sign (Ruler), unless retrograde or seriously afflicted by the malefics, is as someone who is master of his own house and goods. In its Exaltation it is strong, but less so than were he his own master. In its Detriment it is weak, as someone in his neighbour's house and not master thereof. In its Fall it is as one who is poverty-stricken and without power.

The nature of the moon is reflective and reproductive. It imitates the forms created by the sun. The individual with a strong Moon-position could be an excellent (reproductive) artist.

Symbol : Two semi-circles express the essence of the moon, the moon bends inwards as a foetus in the womb of the mother, tending towards the interior, while the sun bursts out to all sides!

All professions related to caretaking: nurse, preschool or kindergarten teacher, governess, midwife. Additionaly, all professions which do not produce anything (Sun) but focus on maintenance, support and repair.
